Welcome to the Bloomsburg University Manga and Anime Club (BUMAC) webpage. We hold free public showings of anime every Monday and Thursday at 7:45 p.m. in Bakeless Center Room 207. Please enjoy your stay and we hope to see you at the next meeting!

Due to time constraints and outside obligations, the BUMAC Brawl
podcast is indefinitely suspended. You can continue to access the
podcast files via the website, but no new ones will be made anytime
soon. It's been fun, we hope you enjoyed it, and you can still here the
main characters on 91.1FM On Wednesday night from 11PM - 1AM.

<p>With the resignation of both President and Vice President, the officer vacancies must be filled.<br><br>This Thursday we will be holding an emergency election to establish a new administration. Nominations for President and VP will be accepted at the meeting. Additional vacancies may occur if the remaining officers leave their posts for one of the available positions. <br><br>The election part of the meeting will begin at 8:05PM sharp. All full members of BUMAC may vote. A full member is someone who has appeared on the attendance role for 4 consecutive official meetings or 8 official meetings in the entire semester. If you are unsure about your status, ask the Secretary.<br><br>If you are eligible to vote, but will be unable to attend due to work or other unavoidable reasons, we will be accepting an absentee ballot vote for this particular election. After the Thursday October 30th, 2008 meeting, Fred the President and
Josh the Vice President of club announced their resignations as officers. We wish
them luck in all future endeavors. More information will be discussed at
the Monday November 3rd, 2008 meeting pertaining to the future of club.

The Bloomsburg University Manga and Anime Club (BUMAC) will be screening "Grave of the Fireflies" on Friday, October 24th at 3 P.M. in 218 Centennial. Grave of the Fireflies is a Studio Ghibli film about two Japanese siblings facing the harsh realities of war in the last days of World War II. There will be time for questions and discussion following the viewing.  Screenings are free and open to the public.

<a href="http://www.zenkaikon.com/" target="_self">Zenkaikon</a> 2008 was great!  At least a dozen past and present members of BUMAC attended.  Our club's trivia team (Manly Battleships) won the trivia contest in a epic comeback and our members JD and Te distinguished themselves in the Anime Dating Game.  We will have many pictures soon.  See you at Zenkaikon 2009!<br>

Many BUMAC members will be attending <a href="http://www.zenkaikon.com/" target="_self">Zenkaikon</a> 2008 in King of Prussia/Philadelphia, Pennsylvania this Friday and Saturday.  Smile for the camera, we will be coming back with many pictures!<br><br>We will see you all there!
