After discussions about the film fest we first voted to watch Tsubasa Chronicle but suffered technical difficulties. We then watched Tenchi Universe and sampled two episodes of Ceres, Celestial Legend. From Animenfo �Although Tenchi Universe was released after the Tenchi Muyo OAVs, everything is different. Several girls coming from different parts of the galaxy somehow manage to squeeze themselves into Tenchi's once ordinary life.� From Animenfo Ceres, Celestial Legend is the story of Aya Mikage and her twin brother Aki, driven apart by the forces of fate. On their sixteenth birthday, Aya and Aki are called to the family home to be given a special present. What they thought was a birthday party, however, was really a test--one which Aya failed�

Hello, for the fall semester we will be back in Room 107. <br /><br />The information and election meeting will occur on September 7th in the Kher Union Room 340A. <br /><br />Also, we have an important decision to make. There was talk as to whether we want to have the film fest earlier in the semester as to if we want to have PR pushed or a more member�s oriented film fest. We will be discussing the issue on the newsgroup. If you have any comments fell free to post them in the comments section, post on the newsgroup, or send me an email.

Welcome back to our summer meetings. After a two week break we split our time between Kiddy Grade and Magic Knight Rayearth this week. From Animenfo Kiddy Grade: �Agent Eclair and Lumiere are two girls with outstanding abilities, and they are assigned as partners. They are part of GOTT, which trains agents with special powers to fight for the organization. From Animenfo �Magic Knight Rayearth begins when three junior high school girls hear a voice asking them to save a world called Cephiro. With her last bit of strength, the princess summons forth the three girls destined to become the Magic Knights in the hopes of saving her world.�

Notice, we will not meet for two weeks, our next meeting will be on July 10th. <br /><br />At our fourth summer meeting we watched episodes of Bastard! Destroyer of Darkness. From Animenfo �The story revolves around a group of five magicians who set out to rebuild their world after a rampaging God destroys it and tips it into chaos. However, Dark Schneider's often reckless manner and short temper leads him to wreak havoc where ever he goes. He is trapped by a group of clerics in a baby boy, leaving the four without a leader. Fifteen years later, the four still continue their quest but their motives have changed to despotic world domination, and it is up to Dark Schneider to show them the "error of their ways, but what seems to be the once reckless and amoral Dark Schneider has changed over his fifteen year imprisonment within the boy, Luche Len Len.�

At our third summer meeting we watched episodes of Azumanga Daioh and sampled an episode of Girls Bravo. From Animenfo �Azumanga Daioh revolves around high school girls. Each main characters have colorful and attractive personality for comic fans, such as gifted 10 years old highschool girl, cool highschool girl, natural highschool girl, highschool girl with glasses and weird older teachers. Based on four panel comic, each episode is rather short around five minutes."<br /><br />Also, this will be our last summer meeting until July 10th.

At our second summer meeting we watched the majority of the anime series BPS: Battle Programmer SHIRASE. From Animenfo �The crisis happened when a super computer was being transported from Japan to America, it was robbed by a hacker who calls himself 'America King'. America King was scheming to use the virus developed on the super computer to cause the explosion of a certain building. BPS, Battle Programmer Shirase, who was requested to settle the crisis, confronts the super computer with his cellphone.� <br /><br />As always, our meeting are always free and open to the public, so please join us!

At our first summer meeting we watched two episodes of Live Action Great Teacher Onizuka and sampled an episode of Getbackers. Next week our meetings will move to Monday and will remain on Monday for the remaining of the semester. See you there!

It�s that time of the year again, it�s time for our summer meeting series to begin. We will be meeting in our usual room, Bakeless Center for the Humanities Room 107. The meetings will run on Mondays (except the first meeting that will be on Tuesday) from 7PM - 10PM.<br /><br />Here are the following dates we will meet:<br />May: <br />Tuesday May 30th<br />June:<br />Monday June 5th, June 12th, June 19th<br />No Meeting June 26th<br />July:<br />No Meeting July 3rd<br />Monday July 10th, July 17th, July 24th, July 31st<br />August:<br />Monday August 7th, August 14th<br /><br />As always, our meetings are free and open to the public! Hope to see you there!<br /><br />PARKING ISSUES!<br />There will be the chance of serious parking issues occurring during our meetings. The main entrance of the college has now been closed for reconfiguration and the entrance to the parking lot next to McCormick/Bakeless has also been closed. The new main entrance to the college is now the red light at the road connecting upper and lower campus. The best places to park will be the lot in front of the Andruss Library, the lots next to Centennial, and the lot in the back of Andruss Library.
