Seventh Summer Meeting: MD Geist & MD Geist II

At our seventh summer meeting we watched MD Geist and MD Geist II.

Overview MD Geist and MD Geist II: Classified as too unstable, the genetically engineered soldier, Geist-02, was imprisoned aboard an orbital satellite. When the men that created him unleash a doomsday device that will destroy all life, Geist-02 must return to save the world that tried to destroy him!

Fifth Summer Meeting: Mad Bull 34

At our fifth summer meeting we watched Mad Bull 34.

Overview: America - land of freedom. But on its dark streets prowl those who abuse its freedoms, and nowhere is as crime-ridden as New York City. It is the job of the New York Police Department to protect society from the evil on its streets, and this is the tale of New York's finest cops, serving in its toughest district: the 34th Precinct. Into this melting pot of crime and corruption comes a raw young recruit named Diazaburo. His new partner is one of the most notorious cops on the force, known to co-workers as Mad Bull due to his ultra-violent form of peace keeping!

Third Summer Meeting: Golden Boy

At our third summer meeting we watched Golden Boy.

Overview: Golden Boy is the story of Kintaro Oe, a twenty-five-year-old in pursuit of life's lessons. A brilliant student, he dropped out of Tokyo Universiy's law program because he had had mastered the entire curriculum. Now he lives a simple life, traveling on his bicycle and working numerous part-time jobs ranging from software companies to noodle restaurants in order to learn everything that he can about the world. Although he's a kind and giving person, Kintaro's only weakness lies in his lust for beautiful women. However, as long as he can control himself, he may just manage to save the day, and win a few hearts in the process.

Second Summer Meeting: Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo

At our second summer meeting we watched Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo.

Overview (From Wikipedia): Asuka Langley Shikinami (in Evangelion Unit-02) and Mari Illustrious Makinami (in Unit-08) are sent into Earth orbit to retrieve an object shaped like an unfolded tesseract, in which Unit-01 and Shinji Ikari are sealed. After Asuka grabs the object, it releases one of SEELE's artificial Angels. Mari is unable to provide support due to her rapid reentry, leaving Asuka to battle the Angel alone. She cries for Shinji to do something, after which Unit-01 awakens and destroys the Angel, before deactivating and descending back to Earth, along with Asuka. Below them, Kaworu Nagisa watches and says he has been waiting for Shinji.

First Summer Meeting: Sampler

At our first summer meeting we watched a sampler of several different anime including Cutie Honey 1973, Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, and Super Atragon.
