At our fifth summer meeting we watched Maid Sama!

Overview: Getting sent to Seika High School is scary enough if you're a guy, but now that the notorious former boys' school has gone coed, the unfortunate girls who've been enrolled there have only one goal: getting through each day as it comes. But into this untamed and testosterone-filled wilderness comes a girl on a mission, a girl who's not afraid of any male and is willing to take them on in that most deadly of all arenas: the Student Council! As Seika's first-ever female president, Misaki Ayuzawa talks the talk and walks the walk, but after school hours she morphs into something rather different... a waitress at a maid cafe! So when cool, aloof and handsome Usui Takumi discovers Misaki's secret, things are going to get VERY interesting, very quickly!

Remember, our meetings are on Wednesdays from 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. in Centennial Hall Room 239 and they are open to the public. See you there!

At our fourth summer meeting we watched Revolutionary Girl Utena.

Overview: Never lose that strength or nobility, even when you grow up. When Utena was just a child and in the depths of sorrow, she found salvation in those words. They were the words of a prince, who wrapped her in his rose-scented embrace and bestowed upon her both a ring and the promise that it would lead her to him again. She never forgot the encounter. In fact, she was so impressed that she aspired to be like the prince and also help those in need. Now a spirited teenager, Utena attends the prestigious Ohtori Academy; however, her strong sense of chivalry soon places her at odds with the school's student council and thrusts her into a series of mysterious and dangerous duels against its members.

Remember, our meetings are on Wednesdays from 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. in Centennial Hall Room 239 and they are open to the public. See you there!

Due to technology concerns we have relocated to Centennial Hall Room 239 for the remaining summer meetings.

At our third summer meeting we watched The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya.

Overview (From Wikipedia): The story takes place from December 16 until December 24, a month after the cultural festival. The SOS Brigade, led by Haruhi Suzumiya, make plans to have a nabe party for Christmas. However, on the morning of December 18, Kyon arrives at school and finds out everything has changed. Haruhi and Itsuki Koizumi are missing, Ryoko Asakura has mysteriously returned, Mikuru Asahina does not recognize him and Yuki Nagato is an ordinary human. Only Kyon is aware that everything is different, as no one remembers anything about Haruhi or the SOS Brigade. The only clue Kyon manages to find is a bookmark left by the alien version of Yuki before everything was changed, telling him to gather 'keys' to run a program.

Remember, our meetings are on Wednesdays from 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. in Centennial Hall Room 239 and they are open to the public. See you there!

Using the brash and unorthodox methods he picked up in his youth, Onizuka manages to reach through to his kids and help them with their problems.
