Third Summer Meeting: The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya

Due to technology concerns we have relocated to Centennial Hall Room 239 for the remaining summer meetings.

At our third summer meeting we watched The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya.

Overview (From Wikipedia): The story takes place from December 16 until December 24, a month after the cultural festival. The SOS Brigade, led by Haruhi Suzumiya, make plans to have a nabe party for Christmas. However, on the morning of December 18, Kyon arrives at school and finds out everything has changed. Haruhi and Itsuki Koizumi are missing, Ryoko Asakura has mysteriously returned, Mikuru Asahina does not recognize him and Yuki Nagato is an ordinary human. Only Kyon is aware that everything is different, as no one remembers anything about Haruhi or the SOS Brigade. The only clue Kyon manages to find is a bookmark left by the alien version of Yuki before everything was changed, telling him to gather 'keys' to run a program.

Remember, our meetings are on Wednesdays from 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. in Centennial Hall Room 239 and they are open to the public. See you there!

Due to technology concerns the meeting was moved to Centennial Hall Room 239.

At our second summer meeting we watched Great Teacher Onizuka.

Overview: Former juvenile delinquent Onizuka finds himself thrust into a role of high school teacher, facing students who behave just as he used to and an administration that doesn't trust him. Using the brash and unorthodox methods he picked up in his youth, Onizuka manages to reach through to his kids and help them with their problems.

Remember, our meetings are on Wednesdays from 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. in Centennial Hall Room 218 and they are open to the public. See you there!

Due to technology issues the meeting was moved to Centennial Hall Room 239. We apologize for any inconvenience.

At our first summer meeting we watched Trigun: Badlands Rumble.

Overview (From Wikipedia): The movie opens with a bank robbery orchestrated by the titanic, towering thief known as Gasback. As a thief, he only pulls off the most difficult heists that offer the biggest rewards. Gasback's trio of henchmen, however, are tired from the increasing danger and expense of each successive job and decide to seize the winnings from this latest heist, kill Gasback and retire to a life of luxury. When Cain, the leader of the trio goes to fire the killing shot, his gun is mysteriously knocked out of his hand...

Remember, our meetings are on Wednesdays from 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. in Centennial Hall Room 218 and they are open to the public. See you there!
